Hailing from Ohio, Rebecca Jordan studied classical piano as a child and taught herself to play guitar and accordion as an adult. A development deal with J Records helped Rebecca's song "Beautiful Disaster" find its way to Kelly Clarkson, who has recorded and released it twice. Since moving to NYC, Rebecca has been awarded the 2010 Abe Olman Award from the Songwriter's Hall of Fame and ASCAP as a promising new songwriter (past recipients include John Legend and Lori McKenna), she's also been chosen as a finalist in NPR's Mountain Stage New Song Contest, and has been invited to perform at the CMJ and SXSW music festivals. Rebecca is currently writing with John Legend, Jens Gad, 1984, Alice Smith, and others.
